our story

At Operation Rebuild Hope, we exist for one reason: to help veterans rebuild their lives after homelessness.
Our organization provides transitional housing, structure, and hands-on case management to veterans who are ready to move forward but need the right environment and support to continue successfully. Through accountability, stability, and individualized service planning, we help veterans regain independence and transition into permanent housing.
We serve veterans facing real barriers. Homelessness, substance use, financial instability, legal challenges, and mental health struggles. We meet them where they are while holding the line on growth and responsibility.
Operation Rebuild Hope was founded in 2016 by two Marine Corps veterans who understood firsthand the challenges of transition and the importance of structure, discipline, and purpose. That foundation still drives everything we do today.
We believe every veteran deserves more than a place to stay. They deserve a path forward.

Operation Rebuild Hope
Operation Rebuild Hope provides transitional housing for homeless veterans through the VA Grant and Per Diem (GPD) program. We offer a structured, accountability-based environment where veterans can stabilize and begin rebuilding their lives. Each resident participates in individualized service planning, focused on achieving goals related to housing, employment, and benefits. Our team works closely with the VA, SSVF providers, and other community partners to ensure veterans receive comprehensive, coordinated support as they transition toward permanent housing.

The Den
The Den, named after the 104th Infantry Division, is a 16-unit transitional housing project geared toward veterans who are more independent and require less intensive support. We currently have 8 units available, with plans to complete the remaining units as funding becomes available. It offers a quieter, more independent living environment while still providing support as veterans transition into permanent housing.

Bryan's Home
Bryan’s Home, named in honor of Bryan Bertrand—a local hero and the first Oregonian to give his life in the War on Terror—is our communal housing program designed for veterans who benefit from a more structured, service-intensive environment. The home provides shared living with increased staff support and peer engagement. It is well-suited for veterans who are earlier in their stabilization process and may need additional structure around sobriety, daily routines, and goal progression.
